Double success: two prestigious awards for the new wedi shower wall module

The wedi Sanwell shower wall module won not one but two prizes. The bathroom and wet room specialist won the competition "Bathroom comfort for generations" with its new product innovation and was presented with the ZVSHK product award at this year's ISH. Another internationally renowned award - the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023  is also going   to the Emsdetten based manufacturer. This prize is awarded once a year by the world's oldest independent design institution .

The Sanwell shower wall module was introduced to the market at the end of last year. It is suitable for installation on the existing substrate as a fixed wall or as a free-standing shower partition. The special features are the pre-installed cold and hot water pipes as well as the Hansgrohe iBox allowing for more than 200thermostatic mixer designs. "The two awards further confirm our strategy to develop functional and easy-to-install design elements," says Volkmar Harnischmacher from wedi. 

ZVSHK jury praises quality, workability and individuality The aspect of high functionality is also commended in the reasoning of the jury of six experts. "The wedi Sanwell shower wall module can be installed quickly and easily in a wide range of room concepts as a back-wall installation or as a free-standing partition wall," says

Harnischmacher. High practical quality, easy installation and cost-effective options for individual configuration: these aspects particularly convinced the jury. "Time and costs are two of the most important topics for both the younger and the older generations of installers when renovating bathrooms."

Nearly 11,000 submissions for the iF DESIGN AWARD 2023

The iF DESIGN AWARD has been awarded yearly since 1954 and is one of the most important design awards in the world. This was once again demonstrated this year by the flood of applications. The independent jury of 133 international experts had to review submissions from 56 countries before the coveted seal of approval could be awarded. The wedi Sanwell shower wall module won in the product design category "Bathrooms and wet rooms".

Design prize for the wedi Top Line

wedi already celebrated an award at the beginning of the year. The wedi Top Line has been recognised for its outstanding design in the materials & surfaces category at the German Design Awards. These ready-to-install design surfaces convinced the top class jury with their outstanding functionality and workability.
