From the beginning of the company's history, wedi, the leading manufacturer and systems provider for directly tilable, waterproof construction elements, has placed great value on integrated system solutions. Here, all components are coordinated down to the last detail and thus ensure the best level of reliability in wet rooms. From now on, three new products ensure even more convenience when sealing pipes and fittings as well as for the acoustic decoupling of components.
The fleece-clad, 12 cm wide tub sealing tape seals bathtubs and shower trays made from steel enamel or acrylic right to the wall with absolute reliability. The integrated butyl strips adhere very well to any tub edge and can easily be sealed right to the wall with wedi 610 adhesive and sealant or optionally with the flexible wedi 520 sealant. In addition, two new sealing gaiters in the wedi range - likewise fleece-clad - now also ensure clean and reliable sealing even for larger pipe diameters from DN 40 and for fittings of up to 125 mm.
Sound protection – small strips with a big effect
To combat noise which occurs in the shower and bath and shouldn’t be transmitted to other rooms, wedi offers reliable sound protection with the new self-adhesive decoupling strips. These are easily positioned between the bathtub or shower tray and the wall and, once there, reliably stop the unwanted transmission of noise to adjacent rooms. This product is directly available as a set with the butyl tub sealing tape from wedi.
